WikiCity – How Citizens can Improve their Cities | This Big City
I'm coming back to teach in the Fall semester. One of my classes will be the RP 300: Florida History. A major new class exploring Florida history. Given the RP's goal is to use Florida to explore hemispheric issues, I'm thinking about how local issues link to bigger problems. How does the WikiCity concept connect to Florida? The insurgent grassroots effort to repair and reclaim public spaces to make them more liveable has plenty of examples in Florida. Everything from new urbanist development to urban gardening can be found in the state.
